Anne Vencel has a BA in art and psychology from Hanover College and a MA in expressive therapy from the University of Louisville. After raising two wonderful daughters, Anne has renewed her passion for creating paintings. Primarily an oil painter to start, she is now exploring different media including acrylics and texturizing. Anne loves to travel and is inspired by the beauty encountered on these journeys.
On a Richter grant to Italy in the late 80's, Anne traveled to museums in Rome, Florence and Venice and got a first hand look at works of art in many different genres. This began lifelong art appreciation and she has been blessed with opportunities to visit museums all over the world. Anne's first art love is impressionism. As she returns to her art roots, she hopes to continue to grow as an impressionistic artist and create works that inspire others as well.
