Dear Artists,
The Edgewater Artists in Motion and Gallery 1070 announce the next show and our call for artists:
Peace, Love & Understanding: running from Thursday August 8- Sunday September 8, 2019. No commissions on sales, no application fee. We supply gallery sitter and sales fulfillment. There will be opening and closing parties as well as events during the run of the show to drive foot traffic.
We are at the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, and while this exhibit is not about Woodstock, it shares some of the themes around the subjects of nations, people of different backgrounds, religions, tribes if you will, coming together to find commonality and work together for the better good. These aspirations oftentimes don’t come easily, as change and progress are things that have to be worked for every day.
So for this exhibit, show us how your art defines the joy, the calmness, the angst, the passion, the struggles of trying to make peace with the world and make your world a better place to live in.
All mediums are welcome, we have wall space, and windows and some display space for sculptures and other crafts.
Also, looking for items for the boutique section ( cards, jewelry, candles, etc ).
All work will be juried and artist will receive an acceptance/decline letter.
Deadline is July 23, 2019 to have your application turned in. There is a flat fee of $50, and no commission on sales, if accepted into the show. Gallery open Thursdays to Sundays, 12-6 during show.
Please contact Mandy at [email protected] for an application and put "Peace" in the subject line.
