Jaleh Malakooti

Wearable Art Jewelry Design

Jaleh Malakooti's work is inspired by the beauty she observes in the natural process of life on earth.
To create her jewelry pieces, Jaleh mostly uses sterling silver as a base medium and unique stones as the focal point. She cuts and polishes most of the stones used in her work from rough stones or slabs. These amazingly patterned stones are the inspiration for her designs.
To Jaleh, these stones show the footsteps of time on various ancient specimens, be it part of a tree, a dinosaur bone, or just sedimentation of earth. Often, she adds adornments to her pieces to highlight and draw attention to these gorgeous stones, which are the works of the original artist: nature.
