EL PAYO Flamenco Cuadro
Traditional & Rumba Flamenco with Flamenco Dancing

Presented by S&C Electric
​El Payo are a flamenco ensemble that perform a blend of traditional and modern flamenco forms that utilize the three main components of flamenco involving the voice, music and dance. The group's members hail from different parts of the world, including Spain, Ecuador, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

Chicago Traffic Jam Street Band
Pop, Rock, Jazz Classics

Presented by Revival Social Club
Chicago Traffic Jam formed in 2015 when a group of solo street performers decided to join forces. Along with performing original music, the band play works by Thelonious Monk, Stevie Wonder, Grover Washington, Prince and more! The group plans on recording their first album during the winter of 2016/2017.

A fun and energetic band  passionate about bringing diverse musical styles from around the world to Chicago.  They start with traditional klezmer music, and add to it from their many influences, including Balkan and Mediterranean tunes and songs sung in Ladino, Yiddish, Hebrew, and Russian.

A Chicago-based band playing good time music with a feel for the blues, powered by the dynamic singing and irresistible stage presence of their vocalist Geneva. They feature sounds from Maxwell Street and the Chicago Gin Halls to the Mississippi Delta, and original tunes reflecting more modern blues cross-over sounds.

Stann Champion's Roots Rock Society are celebrating 30 years of performing in 2017. Their music releases have reached an audience of 1M+. Awarded “Contribution to World Beat Music” in 2009 and “Best Entertainer” in 2008 by the Chicago Music Awards.  Hailed as “Chicago legends” by Tribune’s Metromix TV and “Chicago’s premier roots band” by WGN Morning News.

Beto Bantu

Beto Bantu is a traditional acoustic Congolese drum ensemble
with roots in Brazzaville Congo stirring up the sacred rhythms of the motherland in a celebration of life and living. 
​Prince Malonga of the indigenous senga ngoma will guide the way in a lively union of drum and dance.

Take Note
Barbershop Quartet

Presented by The Breakers at Edgewater Beach
Take Note is four men who sing songs from the "good old days" and the "big band days", as well as the 50's and 60's, with a unique combination of musical excellence and engaging warmth. Take Note is currently the top ranking senior quartet in the state of Illinois and is consistently among the top ten senior quartets in North America.

Two high school sweethearts, Petra and Andy grew up together as artists. They regularly play at prominent Chicago venues like the Jazz Showcase, Andy's, and Fitzgerald’s. Recent performances include the Chautauqua Jazz Party, the Chicago Jazz Festival,  and several European tours while their CD, Far Away Places, is being re-released in Japan.

An Edgewater native, Steven has been performing professionally since the age of 10 and had his debut at Carnegie Hall in 2010. He has been featured  on ABC-WLS TV's "Someone You Should Know" and has performed in top venues like the Liberace Museum (Las Vegas), Disneyland, and Millennium Park. He is a singer/songwriter playing all genres of music.

Don is a Chicago-based performing jazz pianist, accordionist and Grammy-nominated artist. In his long career, he  has performed throughout the country with nationally and internationally acclaimed jazz artists and entertainers of stage, screen, and TV, including: Aretha Franklin, Smokie Robinson, Bob Hope, Lyle Lovett, Doc Severinsen and Harry Connick Jr.

Parkwest Strings
Classical and Pop

Presented by Press Spirited Seltzer
Parkwest Strings was founded by violinist Song-hea Sackrider. It is a classically trained string quartet specializing in contemporary pop and rock music. The group has done hundreds of performances in the Chicago area, receiving numerous awards. The other members are cellist Kyra Saltman, violinist Andrew McCann, and violinist Nicholas Jeffery.

New Age Electronica

Presented by MB Financial
w_dervish (real name, Omer Bozok) takes his name from whirling dervishes (the Muslim monks), as reflection of his spiritual energy.
​He creates mixes using dramatic music in various genres, especially deep house music with an ambient/oriental touch and complementing sounds like choirs, violins and driving beats. He's recently started to steer towards cinematic music as well.

Cabaret, Jazz

Presented by Darryl Levine
A multi-disciplinary artist, Natalja has been performing in the US and Italy since 2000. She has sung with Alan Gresik’s swing shift orchestra at the Green Mill and Summer Dance Festival and collaborates with Chicago Paris Cabaret Connexion. Her one-woman physical cabaret show, “The Selkie”, premiered at Davenport’s Piano Bar Cabaret in 2016 will be shown next at the Chicago Fringe Festival and in Paris.

Steven Hashimoto and Pat Fleming have been performing as a jazz duo
(guitar and bass) for 25 years. They have appeared at Andy's Jazz Club, Andie's Mediterranean Restaurant, Kopi Café, The Gateway Bar and Grille, and many other venues and festivals. Separately, they both also perform as part of several other groups

Melody Angel

"My mother named me Melody Angel and the rest is history..." Born on the South side of Chicago, Melody started singing at 7 and taught herself how to play guitar when her mom bought her one at a local pawn shop. Melody recently released her first EP and has performed at the Chicago Blues Festival, Buddy Guy's Legends and Antone's in Austin, TX.
